Property Notes

Linen cupboard: corridor by bunk room. Code 179

Heating: master control hall cupboard, thermostats in each room

Hot water: same panel as heating in hall cupboard

Stopcock: hall cupboard at bottom, crouch down to see

Main fuseboard: hall cupboard

Replacement bulbs and batteries laundry room

General Checks

Are baby items are needed (2 sets in hall cupboard)

Clean high chair, baby bath, and cot

Test TV, remote, and Wi-Fi

Check lightbulbs

Test smoke and CO alarms

Clean window (Velux too if needed)

Wipe switches

Check hot water and heating

Remove cobwebs

If guests need car charger, make sure it’s turned on at the fuseboard and the credit card-type card is left out for them

Seasonal Tasks

  • Clean BBQ and tools
  • Check stock of charcoal, matches and fire lighters
  • Put away winter items if left out (shovel, salt, mats)
  • Wipe down outside furniture
  • Make sure parasols are outside, but lying down if guests not due straight away

Corridor

Vacuum ski/boot cupboard

Shake and air blanket

Bathrooms

  • Clean drawer and cabinet
  • Clear and scrub drains
  • Clean toothbrush cup and soap dish
  • Refill handwash dispenser (refills under fuse box)
  • Clean toilet brush and add toilet gel
  • Clean towel rail
  • Leave 3 toilet rolls, a bathmat, and a hand towel

Lounge

Clean glass in fireplace, empty ash, and lay fireplace

Refill log basket

Damp dust all surfaces

Vacuum under sofa and under edges of rugs

Clean dining chairs

Laundry Room

Empty lint filter

Empty dryer water collector

Kitchen

Display welcome items

Clean fridge, oven, extractor fan (“+” button to lift)

Empty/clean dishwasher; check trap; refill salt + rinse aid

Leave 5 tea towels, oven mitts, 1 sponge

Restock:

    Washing-up liquid

    Dishwasher tablets

    Bin bags

    General cleaner

    Paper towels

    Foil

    Cling film

    Baking paper

Clean bins + add bags

Clean inside drawers/cupboards

Remove open/perishable food

Clean microwave, toaster, coffee machine

Wipe + polish worktop and cupboard fronts

Bedrooms

  • Fit clean pillow and mattress protectors
  • Dress bed with cushions and throw
  • Leave 1 large + 1 small towel per person (plus baby towel if cot used)
  • Vacuum under bed
  • Check inside cupboards and in every drawer

Study Sofa Bed

If guests need to use study sofa bed -

Remove the desk and chair and add to the end of the dining table

Mattress topper is stored either in hall cupboard or linen cupboard

Duvet is in linen cupboard

Linen is in the green plastic crate in the linen cupboard (use either the grey stripy set or the set with stars on)

Existing Damages

• Bedroom 1 – Wardrobe mirror scratched

• Staircase – Scuff marks on wall

• Kitchen – Fridge dented
