Food Shopping

We can provide a supermarket shopping service – you send us a list, we will make sure everything is ready and unpacked in the accommodation for your arrival. This is especially useful if you are due to arrive on a Sunday afternoon or in the evening as supermarkets in resort will be closed.

 

Samoëns

Boulangerie Tiffanie – fantastic bakery, bread, cakes and space to sit and eat. There are two branches in Samoens. One is situated at the bottom of the Grand Massif Express lift – open only in peak seasons. The other is in the village near the Sherpa shop. boulangerie-tiffanie.fr

A La Jaysinia – Bakery, Patisserie and tea room. Exquisite cakes. Situated in the centre of the village a-la-jaysinia.com

Sherpa – Small convenience store in the village. Often the only place open on Sunday afternoons. Good selection of fruit and vegetables, crisps and snacks, alcoholic beverages. Limited selection of fresh and frozen produce but usually enough to make dinner if you arrive in resort on a Sunday. sherpa.net

Petit Casino – Small convenience store located in the village centre. Open 8am – 12.30pm every day, then 3.30pm-7pm afternoons except Wednesday and Sunday.

Fruiterie Des Hauts De Savoie – Co-operative dairy at the edge of the village producing and selling local cheeses, charcuterie, jams and other local products. Winter season : Every day 9am-12.30pm and 3pm-7.30pm samoens.com

Le Pied de Poule – Excellent butcher and deli counter with a selection of home prepared ready to heat meals and other local produce. boucherie-lepieddepoule.fr

Morillon

Weekly Markets

Samoens – Wednesday mornings 7am until 1pm. The Samoëns market boasts an array of stalls offering a variety of items, from fresh produce like fruits, vegetables, meat, and deli products to seafood and bread. During school holidays, the market expands to encompass the entire village, showcasing not only food but also clothing and regional specialties. It’s not just a market; it’s a must-visit gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.

Morillon – Sunday mornings from 8am until 1pm. Local market with fresh produce and regional specialities.

Sixt – Monday afternoons 3pm until 7pm. Small local market, fruit and vegetable stall, burger van and sometimes rotisserie chicken. More stalls and other local produce during peak periods.

Verchaix – Friday mornings from 7am until 1pm. Local market with fresh produce and regional specialities.

Taninges – Thursday mornings, all year round from 8am and noon plus afternoons from 2.30pm during Winter ski season and Summer school holidays.
