Tasks on arrival:

2 sets guest keys, 1 on hooks in entrance way / 1 in key box

(Winter) Snow cleared for easy access to Mazot and ideally 1 parking space at end of garden 

(Winter) Bring logs from bread oven (key in doorway) and put on shelving in exterior space 

(Winter) Check the snow shovel is present and there is  at least 1 full bag of salt unopened. Whatsapp Graham if more salt needed 

(Winter) Wood burner has been emptied, logs brought in for basket. Spare logs next to Mazot hut in shed

(Winter) Check kindling, fire lighters, matches – Whatsapp Mark every changeover so he is updated on quantity (winter)

(Winter) All radiators are switched on, switch is at the rear right. Set to Comfort 20. 

Check exterior space: Anything in the storage boxes?  no cigarette butts, damages, tables are clean

Sweep/clean exterior space inc window frames/postbox/shelves/light fittings regularly – every 2 weeks

Thorough visual checks under all beds, kitchen units, cupboards, record player stand, bookcases etc.. for any dead mice

Play a record to make sure the record player is working

Thorough dust weekly of ceiling beams and corners for cobwebs – cobweb brush

Sweep exteriors of window frames and shutters- hand brush (weather permitting)

Check the sofa covers and the sofa throws in the living room for any stains. Spare throws and sofa covers in utility room if any of the ones on the sofas need to be returned for cleaning

Dust all lamps (wall mounted especially) as well as light fittings and bracket

Kitchen – check spare gas bottle is full 

Kitchen – plenty of fondue gel, paper towel, baking paper, kitchen foil and cling film

Top up soap dispensers – stored in utility room

(Summer) Check BBQ and tools. Clean as needed.

(Summer) Check charcoal and firelighters(Summer) Check patio area parasol is working and leave closed and stored lying down besides wall behind patio table

During clean:

Mazot has been checked and cleaned if used

Kitchen – clean grill of bug zapper regularly – black switch on unit to turn off- use hand brush

Kitchen – use a smaller size hoover nozzle to hoover thoroughly under all kitchen units/corners after cleaning. Use standard size hoover nozzle to hoover main kitchen floor THEN use smaller size hoover nozzle to hoover between flagstones – floor in kitchen should be as clean and clear of crumbs/dirt as possible

Large rugs: hoover under and around edges well

Sofa cushions plumped

Anomalies:

Always leave all internal property doors open other than the second door into the kitchen from the entranceway

The little bedroom next to the kitchen has a small door ‘brick’ to prop the door open. 

Living room radiators:

Each radiator has a switch on the side. Needs to  be switched to ‘on’ position at all times to allow for remote operation by owners:

Dehumidifier:

When guests are in residence, turn off the dehumidifier and push it back against the wall next to the bedroom sink.  Then when the property is due to be empty for a period, turn it on and wheel it back into position.  Make sure all doors in the chalet are left open.

Spare bulbs and batteries: Utility Room shelf for light bulbs. Drawer in study  desk (living room) for batteries

Vacuum / Mop + Bucket: Utility Room, Hoover nozzles on shelf

Bedrooms: 

Master – with shower room – Superking or 2 singles

Family room – 1 King and 1 single

Off kitchen – 1 single plus trundle if required

Mazot hut – 1 King

Extra beds: 1 trundle in bedroom 3 + extra pull out bed in utility room. Duvets for extra beds in hamper in utility room

Water Tap: Utility Room – red lever on right hand side – about a meter from floor

Fuse box: Cupboard in Kitchen next to sink

Ski Locker / Garage: n/a but bread oven for storage – key in chalet

Cot / Highchair/ Stairgate: Utility room

Existing damages:

Board repaired/replaced in Nid d’aigle room under single bed
